Pokemon Trading Card Game Pocket re-imagines the fun collecting and battling aspects of the physical Pokemon Trading Card Game in mobile game format. In this title, players are able to open digital booster packs and collect cards to complete expansions, show off their collections to other players, build decks, and participate in battles.
However, if players wish to complete a collection of a specific set, or build a functioning deck, they will need a solid range of cards to do so. As cards can only be obtained through three different methods, knowing how to farm them the most efficiently and consistently will play a very important part in giving you more deck materials to work with. Players can find everything they'll need to know about how to farm booster packs and cards in Pokemon TCG Pocket throughout the guide below.
How to Farm Booster Packs & Cards in Pokemon TCG Pocket
In Pokemon TCG Pocket, there are only three different ways to obtain cards, as of release and the first card set, Genetix Apex. These methods to obtain cards can be achieved by opening booster packs, crafting cards, and completing Wonder Picks, as a feature to trade cards with other players will not be available until a later date.
Wonder Pick only enables the player a one-in-five chance of obtaining a targeted card from a selection of pulls other players have gained from booster packs, meaning it isn't the most reliable method for farming cards. However, ensuring you use all of your Wonder Stamina each day will enable you to accumulate a handful of extra cards every week.
Crafting cards requires Pack Points to do, and these can only be obtained by opening booster packs in the first place. This means that by default, opening as many booster packs as possible in a single day is the most efficient way to farm cards, as this will not only enable you to accumulate more cards with each pack you open, but to also build up Pack Points for crafting specific targets to complete your set or help set up a deck.
To begin with, every player will be able to open two booster packs of their choice per day. However, Premium Pass owners can open an additional pack, as well as receive extra quests and rewards. For this reason, owning a Premium Pass will further boost the frequency with which you are able to farm cards.
Once you have opened your free booster packs per day, extra packs can be opened by spending Pack Hourglasses, or Poke Gold. Pack Hourglasses can be earned by completing missions or purchased from the shop with Shop tickets, which are earned by completing event missions and step-up-battles. Poke Gold, on the other hand, can be purchased as a micro-transaction with real currencies from the shop, or earned on occasion by Premium Pass holders.
The best way to farm Pack Hourglasses is by completing as many missions per day as possible. By farming all available missions, you should be able to accumulate a solid amount of Pack Hourglasses to open an extra 1-3 Booster Packs per day at minimum, or even up to 10+ booster packs, depending on how many missions you still have available at the time.
