Ranked mode is divided into Beginner, Poke Ball, Great Ball, Ultra Ball, and Master Ball ranks, and Pokemon TCG Pocket players are rewarded for each rank obtained. Each victory gives players 10 points, while the number of points lost through defeats increases in proportion to their rank. Players between the ranks of Beginner 1 and Great Ball 1 do not lose points if defeated and cannot be demoted. On the other hand, those who go on a winning streak earn extra points, up to 12 additional points for a streak of five or more wins. Showing how the first ranked season went, Pokemon TCG Pocket shared some important information.

Some cards on the list stand out, such as Giratina ex and Beedrill ex. Part of the 111 cards added with the release of the Shining Revelry set, the Gen 4 Legendary stands out for its synergy with Darkrai ex because of the abilities focused on energy gain that the two possess. Beedrill ex, for its part, makes a powerful combo with Meowscarada, which increases the damage dealt by the Kanto Pokemon. Another highlight on the list is Weavile ex, which, despite the changes to the meta having taken its shine off, its famous combo with Darkrai ex still shows relevance.

The second Pokemon TCG Pocket ranked season began on May 1, a few days after the release of the Celestial Guardians expansion. Introducing 239 new cards, one of the names already stirring up the community is Oricorio, considered the new Pokemon ex “killer." Another addition made by the same set is the tool card Poison Barb, which has found a powerful combo with Paldean Clodsire ex.
