A Pokemon TCG Pocket player has shared a powerful new combo with the cards Paldean Clodsire ex and Poison Barb. The two cards were introduced by deNA with the release of the most recent Pokemon TCG Pocket sets, Shiny Revely and Celestial Guardians, which together added 350 cards for players to collect.

Released on March 27, Shiny Revelry is the third Pokemon TCG Pocket mini-set. With 111 new cards, one of the main highlights is the introduction of the first shiny cards, such as Charizard ex and Lucario ex. Celestial Guardians is the newest Pokemon TCG Pocket main expansion that arrived on April 30 and added 239 cards for players to pull. With these two expansions, the devs have shaken up the card game meta by introducing new cards that have changed players' strategies. Now, one shares a powerful synergy that players will want to check out.

On Reddit, user JTexpo shared a “hidden combo” of the cards Poison Barb and Paldean Clodsire ex. This combo uses the synergy between the Gen 9 Pokemon's health pool, its Venoshock ability, and Poison Barb's effect. With Venoshock, Paldean Clodsire ex deals extra damage if the opponent is poisoned. Poison Barb, on the other hand, poisons the opponent's active Pokemon when it deals damage. Since Paldean Clodsire ex has 160 HP, it can activate the effect of Poison Barb several times and boost the poisoning damage that the opposing player's card will receive.

Pokemon TCG Pocket Already Has a History of Broken Combos

Although it was only released six months ago, Pokemon TCG Pocket has already seen the rise of several broken combos. One of the first synergies the community discovered was between Mewtwo ex and Gardevoir, which speeds up energy generation for the Kantonian Legendary's attacks. Later, the Celebi ex and Serperior combo became a hit because of the ability of Snivy's final form, Jungle Totem, which makes Celebi hit even harder. Living up to their nightmares, Darkrai ex, Magnezone, and Druddigon made another powerful Pokemon TCG Pocket combo.

Players who don't yet have a Paldean Clodsire ex can try their luck by opening Shiny Revelry booster packs. The card is available in three variants: the regular one, a full art with a green background, and another full art with a rainbow border and an adorable illustration. To add Poison Barb to their collections, players can open Lunala booster packs, the only way to get the tool card from pack opening.
