Pokemon TCG Pocket is rolling out a brand-new promo event to celebrate the game's first anniversary, giving fans a new chance to pick up promo cards they may have missed. The beloved trading card game is pulling out all the stops for its first anniversary, with the newest expansion bringing in new mechanics, plenty of free goodies, and lots more. Pokemon TCG Pocket officially introduced Mega Pokemon to the game with the launch of "Mega Rising," while also giving fans access to special missions for some exclusive cosmetics. Now, Pokemon TCG Pocket's older promo cards are making a big comeback.
Pokemon TCG Pocket has frequently given fans the chance to pick up some special cards outside its regular expansions. The mobile game regularly features promo "drop" events with exclusive cards not featured in the normal sets, typically awarding cards through Wonder Picks. Pokemon TCG Pocket also occasionally gives out cards as bonuses for clearing certain objectives within events, like the PA-065 Rayquaza ex being gifted for winning 50 battles during the six-month anniversary event. A new event is now giving fans the chance to pick up some of the game's most elusive cards.
Pokemon TCG Pocket Has Fixed One of Its Biggest Problems
Fans seem pleased, as Pokemon TCG Pocket finally fixes a long-standing issue that was hurting one of its core gameplay mechanics.
Pokemon TCG Pocket officially rolled out its "PROMO Reissue Event 2025" on Thursday, kicking off the game's first anniversary festivities. The event will give players the special opportunity to pick up cards from the game's "A" series of promo cards, featured throughout the first year of its release. The event features cards available from every different volume of the "Promo-A" set for a limited time, with fans earning tickets to pull Promo Packs from special in-game missions. The event is scheduled to run through November 9.

Pokemon TCG Pocket's anniversary celebration looks to have loads of special goodies for fans beyond the promo cards. The mobile game will be giving fans some free packs of the game's newest expansion during the event, with three packs of Mega Rising available to all players. Pokemon TCG Pocket is also finally making use of the Advance Tickets given out after the game's initial launch, being used as part of a giveaway that could see players win up to 1,200 Pack Hourglasses.
With Pokemon TCG Pocket's first year filled with plenty of success, fans should have lots to be excited about as the game moves into its second year. Pokemon TCG Pocket has already revealed the first expansion that will arrive following Mega Rising, with the game's "B1a" set currently expected to release on November 25. The game has also shared multiple Pokemon that will be receiving Drop Events throughout the next month, including Mega Pidgeot ex, Psyduck, and Torchic. Pokemon TCG Pocket's dominant first year will look to pave the way for a similarly successful sophomore year.
