In a recent update over social media, the official Pokemon TCG Pocket account posted a short-term roadmap fans can look forward to. While thanking the community for their support, the message went on to reveal some upcoming features, including new in-game events as well as new booster packs which are targeting launch by the end of the year. Without any specifics, it's probable that some of these boosters and events were highlighted in a recent Pokemon TCG Pocket leak.
Pokemon TCG Pocket Trading Roadmap Plans
However, in addition to more booster packs, the team revealed that Pokemon TCG Pocket will soon have a trading feature. While details are scarce, the message indicated that players will be able to trade "certain cards" starting in January 2025, with plans to continue expanding the selection that can be included in this list. It's unknown if some of the best Pokemon TCG Pocket cards will be included on this list initially. Lastly, Pokemon TCG Pocket teased even more features being in development, with plans to reveal them once the dates have been finalized.
Part of the draw and fun for many players is unpacking rare cards, a feat which some fans felt like they figured out at launch. While the theory has since been debunked, Pokemon TCG Pocket players shared a "Bent Corner" theory which quickly took off, as fans believed that selecting a card pack with imperfect corners or packaging had a higher chance at revealing a rare card. As it turns out, the theory was seemingly just some good luck by players, more than an accurate way to select card packs in-game.
