To celebrate the 2025 Pokemon World Championships series currently taking place, Pokemon TCG Pocket players can snag some freebies by watching the festivities for a certain amount of time on Twitch. By tuning in to the official Pokemon channel on the popular streaming site, fans can earn 12 Pack Hourglasses and 12 Wonder Pick Hourglasses for use in Pokemon TCG Pocket.
The 2025 Pokemon World Championships are currently underway in Anaheim, California, drawing competitors from around the world to battle it out for the ultimate title. Boasting a combined prize pool of over $2 million, the competition is spread across four categories: the Pokemon TCG, Pokemon GO, Pokemon Unite, and the Pokemon Video Game Championships. Ahead of the event's August 15 start, many were surprised to learn that some international Pokemon World Championships competitors had been forced to drop out after being denied entry into the United States. This included all Chinese teams invited to take part in the Pokemon Unite tournament. The event is, thankfully, being streamed on Twitch, and Pokemon TCG Pocket players can earn some bonus in-game goodies just by watching for a brief time.

Earlier this month, developer DeNA announced that Pokemon TCG Pocket would be getting a major gameplay overhaul in the future, as the title's playerbase has continued to shrink. While the mobile title saw incredible success at launch, its lack of a pity system has become a major frustration for many users. Many players are hoping that this future update will unify Pokemon TCG Pocket's Pack Points, making it easier to obtain cards from across different sets.
