Pokemon Trading Card Game Pocket players should circle July 30 on their calendars, as that’s when the Wisdom of Sea and Sky expansion will launch. The Pokemon Company has just released an announcement detailing all the new stuff that Pokemon Trading Card Game Pocket players should expect from the expansion.

Pokemon TCG Pocket was created to bring the massively popular card game experience to mobile in a more accessible format, featuring simplified rules and visually immersive digital cards. The game aims to reach a new audience who may find the traditional paper card game too complex, while also being designed for longtime fans. Players already suspected that the next Pokemon TCG Pocket expansion was on its way and would hit the game before August—though nothing had been confirmed. The developer had said that an update to the trading system would be coming on July 29, which led fans to believe something else was coming. Now, The Pokemon Company has revealed what’s in store for the mobile game.

Pokemon TCG Pocket players are concerned about the new trading feature details, and the development team has issued its reply.

After some recent Pokemon Trading Card Game Pocket leaks, the developer has confirmed that the Wisdom of Sea and Sky expansion will launch on July 30, bringing some exciting additions for fans. The update will add legendary Pokemon Lugia and Ho-Oh, as well as first-partner Pokemon Chikorita, Cyndaquil, and Totodile, along with new Trainers from the Johto region.

Moreover, the expansion will add over 200 new cards to the Pokemon TCG Pocket collection, alongside new Pokemon ex (stronger versions of cards that usually have higher stats and better abilities). The developer also revealed the artwork of some of the new cards players can expect. In addition, the trading system has been reworked, and starting July 30, players will trade using shinedust, no longer needing to consume cards to make trades—trade tokens will be discontinued. As explained by the developer, if players get a card they already own, they’ll now receive twice as much shinedust as before. Players can also exchange their remaining trade tokens at the in-game shop for pack hourglasses.

To top it all off, Pokemon TCG Pocket is adding a much-needed wishlist feature on July 30. This new option will allow players to show others which cards they want to trade, with the possibility of wishlisting up to 20 cards, as well as selecting three of them to be displayed on the player’s profile. The expansion is less than a week away, so players should buckle up for everything coming in Wisdom of Sea and Sky.
