Since then, Pokemon TCG Pocket has launched one major and two additional mini-sets. However, many believe that no other card has been received as poorly as the Pokemon in question.

It's not unusual for fans to debate the worst cards in the game. Every new expansion tends to reignite discussions about which cards are hits and which ones fall flat. Triumphant Light's Dragon-type Giratina has been voted the worst three-diamond card in the entire roster. There's a clear consensus that this specific variant is "ridiculously" unusable, largely due to its poor stats and underwhelming card text. While Dragon-type cards have historically struggled in Pokemon TCG Pocket, many fans agree that none have matched the A2a Giratina's level of clunkiness and irrelevance to the metagame.

Fans Have Good Reasons to Call the A2a Giratina Out

As many fans have pointed out, the A2a Giratina embodies everything a Pokemon TCG Pocket card shouldn't be. Its HP is low, the damage output is mediocre, and both its attack and retreat Energy requirements are absurdly high. To make matters worse, its Crisis Dive move removes two random Energies per attack. Simply put, there's little to no reason for players to invest in this Pokemon, especially when plenty of other cards offer better damage for far less Energy. For comparison, Pokemon TCG Pocket's Solgaleo ex deals 120 damage for just two Steel-type Energies.

Perhaps in a future metagame where generating and transferring two types of Energies becomes easier, the A2a Giratina will get a second chance. But as it stands, fans generally agree that the card is nearly impossible to fit into a competitive deck, even as a tank.

An ironic detail about the A2a Giratina is that it launched just a month before Pokemon TCG Pocket's feared Giratina ex was introduced. While Giratina ex went on to form the DarkTina duo and dominate the metagame for nearly three seasons, the A2a Giratina never even made it into the PvP scene. Even worse, it earned the title of the most useless three-diamond card in the entire roster.
