Pokemon Unite is set to add Alcremie, the highly customizable Fairy-type Pokemon added to the series in Generation 8, in an update scheduled for June 12. Fans have been waiting for Alcremie's addition to Pokemon Unite for a few months already, but the wait is nearly over.
Launched in July 2021, the Pokemon-based MOBA for Nintendo Switch and mobile devices incorporates an interesting fusion of elements from Pokemon games, such as powering up during matches by catching wild Pokemon. While the game featured only 19 different playable monsters at launch, its roster size has grown to more than 70 in 2025, with the latest addition being the release of Alolan Raichu to Pokemon Unite on April 17.
Pokemon Scarlet And Violet: Alcremie Flavor Forms And Toppings, Ranked
Alcremie has a wide variety of forms depending on how it is evolved. Here's how they all compare.
A brief new trailer for the game shows the tiny Cream Pokemon standing and twirling atop a two-tier square cake adorned with strawberries, revealing that it will be arriving in the game on June 12. Fans who have been following the game closely have already known about Alcremie's eventual debut since late February, when a Pokemon Unite presentation during Pokemon Day 2025 revealed Alcremie, Alolan Raichu, and Suicune would all be coming to the game later this year. With Suicune's release on March 1 and Alolan Raichu's in April, fans are now left to wonder about which Pokemon will be joining the game following the June update.
Alcremie Gets Pokemon Unite Release Date
Based on information released by the developers, Alcremie will be a supporter Pokemon, joining a classification that already includes several other Fairy-type Pokemon like Comfey, Wigglytuff, and Mr. Mime. Those wanting to dive directly into the action may not find much appeal in Alcremie's new role, but it should provide some good roles in team-based play by providing assists with healing, debuffs, and crowd control.
Historically, much of Alcremie's popularity comes from its customization elements. Introduced in Pokemon Sword and Shield, there are 70 different physical appearances Alcremie can take when it evolves from Milcery in that pair of games. These variations are divided between 10 different cream colors, counting their shiny form, and seven different sweets, which are held items that merge with the Pokemon upon evolution and become permanent visual fixtures in the hair-like portions of its head. Sword and Shield players can plan ahead to get the version of Alcremie that's most appealing to them by evolving at the right time of day and spinning their character around in a specific way, but the Pokemon Unite version seems to have adopted the Strawberry Sweet Vanilla Cream form specifically.
