Potion Permit's early game can make acquiring money a little tricky, and players will need a lot of it to upgrade their equipment and progress in the game, so here are some tips and tricks to make it a little easier.

Potion Permit certainly doesn't make things easy for the new Chemist in town, especially with the townsfolk being distrustful of people from the city and the Medical Association in particular. Even after curing the Mayor's daughter and taking up permanent residence, the player still has a lot of work to do if they want to earn the trust of the townsfolk.

Selling Remedies

One easy way to make money in the game is by using the Post Drop Box to sell extra remedies and medicines. Since ingredients can be acquired simply by heading outside town and doing some exploring, it's often easy to have extra potions on hand for sale. After crafting any given medicine enough times, players are able to save their recipes for that potion for easier crafting, making the process even faster and, thus, more efficient and profitable.

This is easily the fastest way to make money, but since the box initially only has 6 slots for selling items, players will need to experiment with different items to see what sells best and then prioritize the most profitable in those limited slots. After upgrading the box for increased capacity, it becomes possible to sell even more items each day, making this even more profitable.

The Chemist is a Part-Timer

Spending some time each day doing a part-time job elsewhere in town is also an easy way to make some coins, with each part-time job offering 125 coins in exchange for passing two hours of in-game time. Packing Parcels, sorting ink bottles, or grinding grapes are all relatively straightforward ways to make some money at the Town Hall, Police Station, and Church, respectively.

Making good use of these can easily amass the player some extra funds for much-needed items or equipment upgrades, though admittedly, they are a massive drain on in-game time and should thus be used with caution.

Weekly Requests

Checking the Town notice board each week allows players to pick up requests for specific items and ingredients, which can be completed in exchange for money and/or an assortment of food items. Since the notice board updates each Monday, this can be handled over the week as and when the player finds time for it.

Of course, players will also earn a chunk of cash whenever they successfully cure a patient at the Clinic, so simply doing the job they came to town to do will slowly allow them to amass funds.

Potion Permit is available now for PS4, PS5, PC, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and Nintendo Switch.
