The new land of Elgado in Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak has been frequently teased by Capcom since the expansion was first announced in 2021. With Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak launching in June 2022, players are likely eager to learn more about the brand-new locale, monsters, and mysteries surrounding the land. And the development team constantly delivers, consistently offering new information for the fans to digest. Recently, a video showcasing the new hunter room in Elgado was posted on official Monster Hunter social media channels, indicating that players will get to live in a houseboat.

Though hunter accommodations are not new in the series, Monster Hunter World expanded on the feature by letting hunters personalize their dwelling spaces. This is seen in how Monster Hunter endemic life became unique collectibles that could be displayed in the room. Iceborne took this even further as it gave players customizable options like wallpapers, furniture sets, lighting, and more. In MH Rise, some customizability was allowed via hanging scrolls, trinket and custom photo displays, as well as BGM options. However, endemic life collection did not make a comeback.

On Twitter, the official Monster Hunter account shared a preview of the hunter's room in Elgado. No descriptions were shared, but the footage showcased panning shots of the room, giving players a sneak peek of what to expect. The inner left side of the room contains the hunter's bed and the inner right side contains the item box where players can check their gear. One of the shots also shows what looks like a phonograph, indicating that players can perhaps change background music again. Towards the front of the room, on the right side, there is a cabinet where Monster Hunter Rise trinkets can likely be displayed.

On the Japanese version of the post, the devs followed up with a tweet hinting that Fukashigi the Informant, the Palico responsible for sharing information about Kamura Village characters and residents, might also be found in the new Elgado room. Many replies to the English post express hope that features from Iceborne will make a comeback in Sunbreak. However, until the devs reveal more details, the community will have to make do with the short video.

With only a few months until the release of Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak, fans will likely expect Capcom to share more of this kind of information. With just six new monsters revealed for the expansion so far, the community is probably hoping the devs will announce more before the game launches in June.

Monster Hunter Rise is available now for PC and Switch, and Sunbreak will release on June 30.
