Initially, there appears to be no obvious solution, creating a sense of entrapment. However, upon closer inspection and connecting the dots, you realize that your weapons and movement abilities can be employed to crack this puzzle. If you find yourself still grappling with this challenge, here's a comprehensive guide to assist you.
Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown – How to Get Into the Secret Rooms in Upper City Day & Night
Upper City, a primary locale in Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown, harbors numerous mysteries, including two concealed vaults with treasures.
How to Get Past the Lion Statues in the Upper City
While searching for Anahita in the Upper Citadel, players will encounter a platforming puzzle obstructing your way. You will see two lion statues, each gripping a lever and guarding an empty circle-shaped slot. To solve this puzzle, shoot your Chakram into the vacant slot, unlocking the elevator above.
Here’s the step-by-step process:
- Shoot the Chakram into the empty slot. Begin solving the puzzle by placing your Chakram (Hold Triangle/Y) between the statues. This will activate the holder and push lion statues away.
- Locate the second Chakram holder. After the statues have moved, wall jump and ascend the platform in the leftmost corner of the room. Use the lever on the lion statue to reach it.
- Open the second elevator. While on the platform, aim and shoot your Chakram into the empty slot above you — behind the gate. This action drops another elevator for you to ride.
- Get past the lion statues. Descend from the platform and midair dash to latch onto the lion statue on the right. Execute a spin jump on the platform above the statue on the right. Next, double jump on the platform above and pull the lever to access the second floor. Finally, stand on the unlocked elevator to ascend and complete the puzzle.
What to Expect on the Other Side of the Puzzle
As a mini-puzzle, the lion statues don’t conceal a major secret. After you solve the puzzle, you will find a lever that unlocks a new shortcut. Next to it, you will see a tablet, The Invocation of the Simurgh, that reveals a part of the lore. After interacting with these items, you must continue along the path to the top and search for Anahita in the Upper Citadel.
