Been screaming this from the hill tops( pun intended), the only connect that f should have to Silent Hill is that their is also a lingering spiritual power in the Japanese town which links to the Shinto religion of Japan that worship spirits like the natives did in the land that Silent Hill was built on. From their the two towns development was different because of the difference in culture which is great because it will be for more interesting for them to dive into Japanese themes aswell as their Shinto like cult and their interpretation of the spiritual power in their town, then force it to fit into the lore of the town of Silent Hill which would do f a disservice.
