I think the allied races needing fixing is an opinion exclusive to the author of this article. Might be that they don't have anything to talk about so they make up stuff.

I love the allied races, there's way too many dwarf types in my opinion but whatever. The only thing they need to do to "fix" the allied races and the main races as well, is add more customisation options. Renewed faces for those races that have not received one like Draenei, and just modernising the races in general. I love how alive the game feels with so many different races running around, and the more customisation options, the better. More faces, tattoos, more jewellery options, renewed hairstyles because some have become obsolete if you compare them to the newer additions. That's all.
