I didn't play the game. True colors was good, but definitely a step down from Life is Strange 2 due to a shift in developers.
SPOILERS for LIS1:
In LiS DE in the beginning Max brushes off Chloe pretty hard in a trailer, either saying that she died or you..broke up with her. Somehow. The entire point of the game was either saving Chloe or sacrificing her, and LiS DE completely belittles that entire experience. It feels cheap, disrespectful to the original creators, and ultimately why I had no interest. If they couldn't respect the most important aspects about LiS1, why would I care about Max's current story at all?
