The subway in Silent Hill 3. Especially if you read the newspaper. You then have a ghost that stalks you and pushes you off the ledge onto train tracks, then if you don't get up fast enough you get hit.

Silent Hill 3 never gets any appreciation and it's sad because in my opinion it wins in both atmosphere and sound design. Team Silent made incredible horror games but SH 3 stands out just as unique as SH 2, with it's psychedelic bleeding walls and bizarre creatures. Also Heather Mason is one of the greatest protagonists. Growing up as an ordinary teenage or so she thinks until she learns who she really is and that there is a whole cult obsessed with wanting her to birth their god.

I think this masterpiece deserves a mention.
