Dragon Age has always been 'woke' so anyone complaining about that either wasn't paying attention when they played or they never played the series and were just complaining because it's the 'in' thing to complain about 'woke'.
DEI? Are you serious? OPTIONAL CC scars, OPTIONAL pronouns, OPTIONAL romance options did not make the game fail. You are what's wrong with the gaming community, not 'DEI'. I played the game and it felt Dragon Age to me. Could it have been better? Absolutely, if EA kept their filthy hands off of it and let the team do what they wanted in the first place.
I would prefer to play as V again. All the endings(I don't suicide as an ending cuz it acts like a game over) can be canonized and pick up where they left off. Maybe they all result in the same cure as The Tower and the game starts in 2079. Maybe B is trying to acclimate to a cyberware free life, but receives a strange text from an unknown number claiming to be able to reverse what the cure did to them.
The reasonings for a clean slate sequel are a cop-out IMO. V's story feels incomplete. They can be the protag again if the writers are willing.
