Atomfall
Not fallout. Let's say that from the beginning. It's better and worse. It stands alone just fine in mho. It in England. It a good character driven RPG. It does have a few flaws. You can't enlarge your carrying size. 'Ever'. There's no real expo about just what's going on here. You really are left to figure that out for yourself. I'm 38 hrs in and I really still don't know. Other than vauge speculations. Which is really where the designers want you to be really. Some of the potential enemies (even early on) are grossly over your weight class. You have a bow and arrows (spoiler) (if you were lucky enough to get it) and are matched against a rusty old robot 14ish feet tall with 2 to 4 50cal rifle hands or 2 and a giant claw. Your 'arrows' bounce off and your lucky if you can run and hide. The trade system is a bit wonky. It's a balanced goods system. Equal amount balanced trades. Limited ammo carry. Most people are potential factions/allies/enemies. No fast travel to places you've been. Not even as a skill. Skills aren't earned. Skills are points found in boxes. You also can't use them unless you've found magazines corresponding to skills that allow you to use said found skills. There's no money, it's all trade. And trade is few and far between. Weapons are acquired by killing, finding or looting. Eventuality, you'll skill up to level those up too. But your limited inventory makes that difficult while being shot at or running for your life. While in your menu, the game doesn't pause. Shout is being in the save menu, nothing pauses. I could go on for hours. I intend to continue playing since I bought this game. I'd reccoment it. But be warned, it's not at all what you're expecting. Fun. But very frustrating. Also time consuming and frustrating. By hour 38. I'm committed. Or should I be. I'm getting those confused... Enjoy. I know I will... I hope you will too. It's definitely worth the buy...
