I mean, I got 100 hours out of the campaign and it was a blast. The endgame is irrelevant to me for now. Also, quality mode on the base ps5 is sometimes unplayable. At least it was pre-patch. Haven't tried it since.

The problem is that every now and then a publisher gets something like Fate Grand Order or Genshin out of trying mobile. Even Fire Emblem and Octopaths mobile games did really well. Mobile makes so, so, much more than console games. In the case of honkai, Genshin, and fate, literally a billion dollars each. And there there are dozens of mobile games everyone forgot about. Unless suikoden goes really, really hard on the waifus, it's going to be that. The most successful all have that in common: hot 2D chicks and buff dudes. About one third of those chicks have to be aged 8 to 16. That's the winning mobile formula
