In this scenario, implementing protection in a way that frustrates your potential player base can result in negative public relations. Such efforts to prevent unauthorized copying might actually deter people from purchasing the game.
However, my advice is for individuals is to purchase the games they enjoy playing, recognizing the significant effort and financial investment required to develop these games. If you wish to continue enjoying high-quality games, show your support by buying them.
