I think it's fairly obvious, that like the other games except 1, you'll be able to customize your character. We've seen a lot of in game cinematic, and keeping the player character consistent in the marketing keeps the introduction of characters from being confusing. Her clothes also never change for this reason as well. So there's no doubt "Thats the players character". They did the same thing with Sparrow being mostly the male character in Fable 2 marketing.
