Honestly I'll give RPG video games credit when they finally diverge from 'good vs evil' dichotomy. Or really any dichotomy. There are more realities than good vs evil or law vs chaos. You can pick shades of almost any combination and very few games even recognize a middle ground. So give me a game with a true third fourth and beyond path and I'll call it 'better' but until then even when it is very well done, it is still more of the same pick a path and stick to it to get the good or bad end. Even when there are multiple good or bad endings.

I know this has been said already, but really. All you had to do was respec Gale. Make hima a Bard, hardly even changes his storyline but adds some liberal support value. None of the recruit characters are a bard so it's an easy slot to fill with whomever yout Tav replaces that you want to play with. You can pick anything of course, but bard as a secondary character is very helpful.
