See AllOne Sims Release Would Be the Perfect Way to Cap Off the Franchise's 25th Anniversary
Project Rene has been shelved indefinitely, probably after they lost so many of the people working on it. In addition, the reason the Sims 1 and Sims 2 Legacy compilations were such a big deal is because, unless you find a CD-ROM at a thrift store or buy it on eBay, there was no way to purchase those games. Also, as they were no longer being sold, they were no longer being supported, so they didn't run well on modern machines. The Sims 3 is available, as well as all its packs, in the EA app. They're not being regularly updated but they literally just got an update recently. And while it would be handy to have the game with all expansion packs and stuff packs in one big file... I don't know that that's wise. Towards the end, EA themselves discouraged people from having all DLC downloaded and running, as it got entirely too large to run comfortably.
