So far I've gotten 11 perfect chroma on 1st playthrough while trying to clear any hidden content before ng+. There are a good few more than people on diff sites are making it seem.

Can also kill the giant snake to get a perfect chroma and an amazing lumina - AP MASTER!

Nope. But there are plenty of others that do. Many you can pickup in endless tower so don't stress it too much.
