These publishers are idiots.

At this moment there is no good availability outside of japan/korea to read manga/manhua. Translations are often not available, outside of the ones done by these groups. Most people wouldn't have been introduced to anime/manga if it wasn't for these "illegal" websites. The DMCA strikes only lewd to these scanners/translators having to paywall their content in order to better protect it.

They are removing our access to these media, before having an alternate way of access in place.

It's really sad to see this shift happening. I'm afraid that in a while I won't be able to read my favourite stories anymore.

P.S. Also the scans/translations are often of a higher quality/retain the original meaning better than the few official translations.
