I found the original Diablo version too dark for my taste but thoroughly enjoyed D3, in great part because of the shift in graphics, both in tone and clarity. Playing with little blobs on the screen, as in D2:R, is too much of a reversion to interest me. And D4 also reverts to the gothic although the graphics are much improved.
I found Waxwick to be pretty weak, at least until leveled fully. I would, also, give a major shout out to Oop'lajax and Bluedoo, both of who are now regulars on my teams.
