Charm scrolls, staves or spells make it so you can still talk to NPCs and use shops even if they dislike you being a vamp.

The sun damage is the only downside besides fire weakness, but that's why you get fire resist spells, pots or scrolls. The sun damage at max stage vampirism is easily countered if you use a good healing spell, otherwise just stay indoors and wait till night to travel. Not a problem at all.
