Dominik that's a great point. I didn't know the games were negotiated that far in advance. That merely means the revoked award has no direct connection to the epic games release, however, it doesn't improve the optics of shady backroom ethics. All we can comment on are the facts. Changes were done to the rules after submissions and the initial award so their motives don't seem to be in line with consumer I interests if everything I mentioned is true

It should be noted that "sorry we're closed" has almost no active players on steam, no one has heard of this game and the creator was on the indie game awards committee that gave them the award after recalling the one they gave to E33. So much for ethics, and now it's being given away for free just days later?
