GameStop Closing Locations in the United States
I worked at GameStop. It was trash. I am honestly glad that it is over. Think of all the people who made preorders? They cannot receive the money they used, also they like keeping $ that doesn't belong to them. I gave hundreds of customers their money back from games they preordered years ago or just never picked them up or forgot ( employees are supposed to call you after so long and let you know to pick up your preorder or $) but few ever did. I believe keeping anyone's money and not being honest about it, allows karma to do her thing. Gross work ethics by HR and management and ridiculous "goals" set to keep a sinking business afloat. The credit card APR % went up to 36%, that's predatory loaning. I am for one, glad to see both locations shut down in licking county Ohio.
Newark, Ohio and Heath, Ohio shut their doors and left loyal customers screwed out of preorder $ and products. I believe the end of this company is nigh. Hopefully by the end of 2025, all stores will be shut down and bankruptcy ensues. Karma.
