I don’t know why I play this limited and sluggish game. If it didn’t have the “Fire Emblem” sticker on it I would be long gone. I just keep hoping it will turn into a worthwhile game. It is derivative and the gameplay is very slow on my iPhone Pro.

Kantaro: The Sweet Tooth Salaryman. An early Netflix/TV Tokyo coproduction. It’s live action but might as well be anime, and lovingly features many real world sweets and locations. Very charming and highly recommended to anyone who enjoyed Restaurant to Another World.

Hall effect is worth it because you don’t have to replace your controllers all the damn time or have them out for repairs. I have experienced this literally a half dozen times. But it isn’t NEW tech; I’ve had one for at least two years now. You can also get your existing controllers converted or get kits to diy. Weirdly excited article considering.

Persona 5 was bloated, repetitive and had scenes that were distressingly immature. We’re supposed to believe that the paragon of psychological balance is too tone deaf to know not to harass his friend who was the victim of a sex predator? Then we have every time they try to have fun, it’s awful. Even in Hawaii they bitch and moan the whole time. The game being long because of lazy writing is not good value!

Art students are notoriously diverse in personality and skillsets. My art school included photography, woodworking, welding, conceptual art, etc. You might as well be concerned that all cakes are the same so why do we have more than one show about cooking.

That combat style is Atlus’s go-to so I wouldn’t expect it to change.

If you liked Strikers that is a genre called musou, famously seen in Dynasty Warriors, but it’s a whole category. There’s plenty more where that came from.

I have played 1 and 2/2 part 2. They are closer to something like Hades than modern Persona. The closest modern SMT games are Strange Journey or Soul Hackers 1or 2. I would like to see them adapted in a respectful way rather than forced to be something they are not suited to. The 1&2 dev teams formed Furyu (recently released Reynatis) and should be involved with a remake.

If there is no romance, why isn’t there a female protagonist option? It would be very technically minor while reassuring players like me that Atlus doesn’t think BDE is required to be the lead. Enough is enough.

Horizon Zero Dawn was streamlined and had a very strong story. It was grounded and real. HFW had a lot of game-y stuff that broke immersion and made me feel like I was in a very different game. Also the story was just an absolute casserole. I will never understand why people act like HFW is such an improvement.

Telemetry shows 9/10 players choose good playthroughs in RPGs in general. I would rather Larian focused on not having my characters walk into fire/poison/traps we have ALREADY FOUND than on content the vast majority of players will never see. Or give us pause. Or make act 3 less buggy /more interesting in general. Prioritizing new features over existing bugs is extremely unprofessional and poor form now that games are $100.

It would be surprising if they gave us a female protagonist as it would show they’re aware women play the game at about the same rate as men and studies show men don’t actually mind if the protagonist is female or queer or both. Kaoru Sayama is first pick; Yumi second; Goro(mi) third. Or all three!

Akiyama is so boring. I am not interested in Akiyama, Saejima, Yagami, or anybody from the turn based era. I wish they would go back to having Kiryu brawlers and keep the turn based guys to themselves. I love a turn based game, but I am not short on them and it IS hard to find a brawler with a heart of gold. There’s literally dozens of turn based games.
