Oblivion Remastered's Shadow Drop is Bad News For Three Games
It's Bethesda. We love their games because of their glitches. Virtuous left a lot of the jank in because the gamers love it. There is also additional content, they've reworked a lot of the old systems making them better, added new voice actors, improved the graphics 100 fold, ect;.
Pretty much everything that they wanted to do with the game when they first releases it but were limited due to space and couldn't do it, has now been done with this game. It is now what they wanted it to be when they released it. And honestly, it is so amazing to see what they were able to create and do with it.
Do not let your opinion of what you think is a good game sully what those artists and game developers created and poured their hearts into. We're all gamers here and should be working to support one another rather than gatekeeping because you think your games are better than the others. That's what makes these communities so toxic and steers people away from the gaming community.
And for the record, we're not all Fanboys.
Oblivion has stood the test of time. The story has held up and continues to be played by many gamers. Just as Age of Empires 2 continues to have updates as well as tournaments, people will pay for something that is well written and well done. I still play games from the late 90's because I love them and they help me relax. Sure the graphics may leave more to be desired, but I don't play those games for that reason.
As for your comment about it being a cash grab, since these developers pretty much did everything from scratch, redoing all the textures and everything else in the game, why shouldn't they be paid? Why should the additional voice actors and the artists and anyone else who works on this not receive some stipend for the time that they put in? How would the studios pay those people and employees if not by selling the product they created? It's kinda how these things work.
