See AllGameStop Addresses Problem of Damaged Switch 2 Screens
I'm waiting. I usually get consoles in the second half of their lifespan as the hardware is often improved and the physical games are often cheaper at that time. It's enough time to work out any kinks in the system that may cause or have caused issues as well as create patches and DLC for games themselves.
I haven't seen enough from the Switch 2 to convince me I need one right now.
Rumor: Nintendo Switch 2 Getting Critically Acclaimed 2018 Rockstar Game
Tekken 8 and beyond, mainly. Not sure if Namco's still supporting the Soul Calibur series--if they are, having one on the S2 would be fun. Final Fantasy beyond Remake and Intergrade would also be nice.
I'm probably gonna wait a year or two before i get one of these, if ever. I usually buy new consoles around the halfway mark of their lifespan. Usually the specs on the units are better than the OG release and the launch games are often cheaper after being out for a while.
GameStop to Close a 'Significant Number' of Stores and Invest in Bitcoin
Good Lord, this was painful to read. Are they out of their minds? Like you said, there's no recourse if they lose everything in crypto. Crypto is the biggest scam of the day, IMO, and if anything, I'd short crypto. But what do I know?
I do know I haven't set foot inside a GS store in ages. They often charge more for used physical games than Amazon, Best Buy, or Target charge for brand spanking new and sealed copies. They also used to give discount coupons out fairly frequently. That was a decade ago. It's sad to see this once great shop decline, but mismanagement and non-competitive pricing is what ran it into the ground. Tragic, really, but I hope its demise is painless.
Rumor: PS6 Leak May Hint at Console's Release Window
The PS5 seems newer than it really is because it was sooo scarce at launch. It wasn't until Fall 2023? That they actually became widely available due to the pandemic and assorted shortages. I think 2026 is too soon--2027 to 2028 seems more reasonable. A lot of people, myself included, have yet to get a PS5, and the PS4 is still chugging along,
I want to see how it does up against the Switch 2 as well.
