The truth is, legendary items have never been legendary items. It’s an ignorant classification and title, especially if it can’t even scale through new content as a reasonable gear option. Let alone they steal the effects that potentially made them worthy of a legendary classification in the first place.
New Civilization 7 Update Coming on March 4
I’ve really enjoyed the new Civ VII, even with the reluctance based on past reviews, most of which were by negative old men who complain in one sentence how the games changed too much and then in the next berating how it’s still the same simple game that hasn’t changed.
Well I have played since Civ II so I’m only a rookie but to me this version is a considerable change but I still own Civ V and VI that still function just fine when I want to play that style.
However I have not wanted to as I’ve enjoyed discovering the differences and seeing what I like about them. Ages at first seemed off to me like many others. Then with a handful of play through so found it was a fun and interesting change. No longer just relying on my closing out an end game.
Reaching goals in earlier eras makes for advantages that are beneficial and selecting other cultures has its own tie to how cultures do and outright but often morph. This now feels logical in its own right, even more so that laying waste to Mongols.
I can play through as an original leader but my culture does evolves. Old parts of the previous culture are still found in cities but to lessening degrees are I advance through the game. It’s fun, and I’ll be playing this version for a long time.
Though I’m certain to dip back into my playable copies of previous version. Always have, always will. All while waiting to subtle improvements to the UI and other QoL changes, but I really don’t find what is in play today problematic. It was worth the purchase to play, and I’ve wanted plenty on games I barely played sadly. Happily this game is t one of them.
