Impressive Civilization Competitor Gets Release Date
Except this isn't a Civ competitor. Besides 'strategy', it's a wholly different game style more akin to the Caesar, Tropico, or Age of Empires series'. Trying to springboard off the mediocre reception of Civ7 is disingenuous at best.
Oh, and just go ahead stop using phrases like 'immersive experience with a dynamic world that responds to players' actions.' That's meaningless. A dynamic world that responds to player's actions is called a game. Hell, Monopoly is a dynamic world that responds to player actions. Regurgitation of marketing buzzwords is not a report.
Battlestar Galactica: Was Starbuck a Cylon?
Except none of this works. I watched the series during its original airing, and spending the intervening weeks and months trying to sort through all this was the stuff of many dinners, drives, and hangouts. First off, Kara is NOT a Cylon. It doesn't fit with anything we learn about Cylons, human-Cylon hybrids, and it doesn't work well in the timeline. Remember, all the 'older' Cylons are 13th tribe members. Between Daniel having no window to produce Kara as a half-Cylon, RDM says no, so let's mark that as a non-starter. As for resurrection, Kara a) does not return from a Cylon resurrection ship, b) does not appear to know she's a Cylon after resurrection, and in fact c) doesn't even believe she died. Cylons know they die and come back. Further, Kara flies into the storm in a gas giant, where gravitational and tidal pressures destroy her and her ship. When she returns, not only is she back alive, she returns IN THE SAME PLANE but, as Chief Tyrol remarks, it is now 'factory new'. There is NO explanation for that, certainly not as regard the Cylons. Leoben likewise is a problem, as he THOUGHT he understood her path, but when he is faced with her corpse in the wreckage of that plane, he loses his mind and runs away. He DIDN'T actually know what was going on, and it TERRIFIED him. About the only thing that makes any sense at all is that she, like Head Six and later Head Baltar are all part of the same thing, they're angels or forces of prophecy or whatever. I think it wasn't fully fleshed out on purpose. Also, she straight-up disappears on Lee once her task is complete. Anyway, not a Cylon. Other than that? Mystery angel. Who knows.
