Am I the only one that actually watched the series so far? Tom bombadil literally says that the stranger is not the first Istari to eat at his place

So clearly this stranger is at least the second one to come to earth. We already have an evil version on the ground which is probably saruman and this particular wizards connection to the hobbits is remarkably just exactly like you would expect from gandalf.

Now either the writers of this series are brain dead or they intentionally made a very strong connection between this wizard and hobbits and we all know there's only one wizard out of the five that has a connection to the hobbits
