This is so bad for Nintendo's rep but I bet that they think their IPs are too big to fail. However, if they become the heel of the gaming community, people might not value IPs like Mario, Zelda, or Pokemon if some indie dev puts out an alternative that's not weighed down by toxic business practices that hurt the gaming community. I mean, I played Nintendo games growing up but I honestly wouldn't now because I'm not into poorly made games that take advantage of parents by marketing to kids. I still have my N64 and GameCube--if I do have kids one day, they can start with those if they REALLY want to play Nintendo games. I don't want to invest any money in a bully with a bad product.
