Don’t give foolish explanations. Twenty-five years is not a joke for just 2,000 episodes. There are other anime with over 800 episodes that started after One Piece and still managed to end properly and on time. Meanwhile, in One Piece, even a single normal fight takes at least 20 episodes to finish — and if you skip 3 or 4 episodes, you miss nothing. It’s obvious they’re just stretching it to make money, with no real concern for the story or the audience. So open your eyes and stop defending it blindly.

I think Oda needs to take a break and let someone else handle it for a while — he’s making the story unnecessarily long. Look at Naruto; it also had over 1,000 episodes, yet it managed to conclude in a satisfying way. But Oda and the toei animation studio seem to be dragging One Piece out just for money.
What’s the point of stretching it so much if the people who started watching it might not even live to see the ending? The new generation doesn’t have the same patience as the old; they skip One Piece to save time and watch other complete anime instead.
And honestly, what’s the fun in extending a single fight for 20 episodes when there are no new moves or deep philosophical or psychological dialogues? Oda should really think about this and bring One Piece to a conclusion soon — for the sake of the fans and viewers, not just for money or fa
