Better animation? Naruto is over 20 years old while Boruto is 8. Of course it has better animation.
More character development? Most of the new generation canonically doesn’t exist and the sensei look weak compared to the students.
More evil villains? While this is true the point of Naruto was how the world of ninjas were constantly at war. The villains back then were taken more seriously as threats. Every time Code is he’s defeated instantly (sure it’s usually by some credible but it’s still ridiculous).
