Rumor: Nintendo Switch 2 Launching With 3 Versions
Models and iterations are different to Versions as you yourself demonstrate in your second sentence.
A Semantic issue which isn't really important, but may prevent future misunderstanding and disappointment.
Additional models aren't usually released until sales of the initial hardware starts to wane and reinvigorate sales. A version/variation could include a change in colour or stock components like the steam deck offering larger storage or a better screen, but the core machine is the same. A 'Lite' or 'Pro' version would normally include alternate cost components and fundamentally be a different machine, but not so different that it it considered a step up in generation for that machine. These redesigns are normally made to include cheaper versions of the same components (as time and technology progresses) and the pro model will usually be similar in price to the previous model, but using slightly better spec components that come in at the same cost as the original machines components.
