8 JRPGs That Reinvented Turn-Based Combat

I really liked FFX's CTB system where you could swap in your standby-party members in the middle of combat to ensure that everyone got equal AP at the end of battle. Agreed re: more jrpgs need to use/iterate on the Legend of Legaia's fighting system.

The 10 Best RPGs of 2024

I haven't played them all so can't say which is the best. Of the ones I have played, my favourite is Unicorn Overlord - it was so much fun and looks so good it was a treat from top to bottom!
