I've been to the Fasnacht event probably 20 times. I've never seen a truly new player that far South. I've also only seen it nuked once, and that was when I did it on the 4th of July because what better way to celebrate the holiday than with a parade and some fireworks. A fair number of idlers and inattentive players were killed, but death in Fallout is just a mild inconvenience, and I don't feel sorry for anyone not paying attention to the nuke warning. Everyone who has played the game longer than a couple hours knows about them, and players that new won't be down in the Fasnacht area yet. I did feel bad for the guy's camp I wrecked, so I repaired everything for him.
