See AllDungeons & Dragons' New Subclasses Set Up a Target and Still Missed It
I don't understand the complaint. BG3 is based on 5E 2014, these new books are 2024 rules. If anything, promoting them by tying them to BG3, WotC should have updated the missing subclasses that are available in BG3 to the new rules (mostly cleric and wizard).
The druid complaint is particularly odd, as both Jaheira and Haldin are Moon Druids which are already a thing in 2024.
'It'll Destroy Their Reputation, Their Company, Everything': Baldur's Gate 3's Karlach Actor Weighs in on AI in Games
This is just a transition period. Voice actors are living in the past. Keep using and paying them, but new studios can go fully generative and the new normal will phase out the human actors.
Do we pine for the days of ferryman? Blacksmiths? Bookbinders? Hardly. This too shall pass.
Baldur's Gate 3's Bladesinger Has One Obvious Multiclass Option
If you're talking an unmodified level 12 run, you'll be lucky to have enough levels by the end of act 1 to run a BS/Pally build and you ll be sorely behind on spell levels.
BB is honestly only worth it on a Crusher Tempest Cleric build. Anything else, you're not wanting to blow EA on a cantrip. The EK or BS off cantrip attack is ok, but iv found 2 levels of Warlock for an EB build on top of a Sorcerer for Quickened spell, allowing 6 EB blasts at 12th level to be the most useful build. Running 4 characters with that build is nigh unstoppable.
If course, with mods, the game can be even better. 20 levels, extra feats, etc. The base game is alright. A modified game is zang.
