Antar Cheers, I do remember seeing one of those when entering the Ishikari Plain (I think the game showed those low-grass tripwires), but I figured it was a scripted cutscene, not something triggered by a dynamic condition.

I have over 60 hours in Ghost of Yotei, am close to platinum, and I have never realized my reputation impacts enemy frequency. Then again, I never really registered the reputation-weather gimmick from the first game either lol, only read about it after the fact.

Epic negotiates deals for the games it gives away at least months in advance as far as I know. I don't think I can post links here without getting caught in a spam filter but if you google, there's a 2023 interview with Epic Games Store GM/VP Steve Allison that describes the EGS giveaways as a calendar and implies they don't make last-minute lineup decisions.

Basically, whatever happened with Clair Obscur and that indie award most likely had no bearing on Sorry We're Closed being the Dec 21 freebie on EGS. There just wasn't enough time for one thing to influence the other.

I guess it's possible they simply had to shut down because the game contract was canceled, regardless of whether the reason for that was legit? But yeah, the whole story seems a bit sus

It does have some (hidden) stats, they just aren't as important as they normally are. Like, most attacks are rounded off to do 1 damage in the early game, making grinding for a few stat points irrelevant.

Anyway, I wanted to recommend you try the game's demo, but it seems to be gone from Steam, go figure

That's a fair point, though tbh I don't think this was a binary choice for Bethesda. Specifically, I think there were a few levels of nuance between "go all out" and "do virtually nothing" here, if that makes sense.

I meant in terms of how long I have it installed, not total playtime 😅

So, for 2 months per year, I boot up F76 for ~1-3 hours per day. Basically clear the dailies and work on scoreboard stuff. Last year I returned when the TV show was blowing up so I was just gifting lvl 1-50 players and opening party boxes all day long
