Sense you are sharing misinformation…1st off, the Boondoggle MK. 55 is a Kinetic SMG and it WAS RELEASED for world drops at the start of Heresy. It’s not hard to research what you’re “hearing” or “seeing” from people online. There’s a website called Light.gg that does a great job of updating when new guns drop and are available through many activities. You should use it to confirm the nonsense of what you’re being told by others.
