I interpret this as, "We're going to emulate Activision/Call of Duty".
This is concerning because Battlefield's greatest attribute has been that it is NOT Call of Duty.
I'm specifically worried about the focus on cosmetics. COD is so infested with Fortnite-esque skins and animations that the game has all but forgotten its roots. It would be a shame to watch the same thing happen to this franchise, too.
This is honestly very refreshing compared to Activision's method of rushing a half baked product to market, thereby significantly diminishing the initial player experience.
As the saying goes: The tough thing about first impressions is that you only get one.
