It's not just a matter of who takes over. You can get any British actor to take over, and it should be a British male actor, because that is who the Doctor has been into they changed it with Jodie. Everyone knows the show has been awful since then, and the most agregious thing they did was destroy the canon of the show. The show can't move forward until the last 8 years of canon has been scrubbed, and the show has returned to the established canon before the swaps. I don't think anyone who legitimately cares about the show disagrees with me. Gatwa has shown he doesn't care about the show at all. He comes in, destroys the show even more, and then says he doesn't want to be tied to it. What respect do any of these people deserve. This show deserves to be cancelled, and it shouldn't come back until writers and directors who actually care about it are in charge, and they have to be allowed to actually make a decent show. With those things in place, any British male actor could play the doctor, and it would be 1000 times better than anything made in the last 8 years.
