With animal rescues just entrust the cargo at the nearest facility. Unlike with normal cargo you'll get a notification when it gets to the shelter and you can swing by and turn it in whenever after that. Like yeah you get docked likes but you don't have to worry about keeping it safe the whole journey and there's like a bazillion things you can deliver to CHVRCHES so in the long run it doesn't even really set you back on connection level grinding.

Bridge link was super easy for me, just build roads and I think likes you get for that get carried I to your next mission. Having trouble with stealth and combat because it seems like even if I totally neutralize a base it barely moves my rating on a standard order. But then I randomly get (relatively) big stealth boosts for doing orders where I don't even go near an enemy base they're both still around lvl 30 and I'm at chapter 8 tho.
