Actually, Mark, there's a school of thought surrounding interpretation called Death of the Author. Basically is states that once a work is released to the public, nothing outside the source needs to affect your interpretation. Even if the author later says you're wrong, as long as you can back it up in the work itself it's valid. This is crucial in my opinion since art is deeply personal and people need to be able to find meaning in it, even if it's not what the author wanted. In the case of Pyramid Head, the way that scene with the mannequins was framed DOES appear to have a sexual element to it. I don't think it justifies saying he was a predator or a victim of assault, but it's absolutely valid to extrapolate further themes of sexual repression from it, given that this game already deals with that in other areas.
