Ken I have played it, but I also played the games its mechanics come from. It adds a high level of polish, but not really "innovation." The only way to see BoTW as a ground breaking game is if you've only played Nintendo games and it was your introduction to open world games

Lol BoTW is the "best and most innovative video game ever made"? You have got to be kidding. It's a giant, mostly empty world. Only Nintendo fanboys think BoTW is the most innovative game ever because it was their first experience with an open world game.
Games With The Most Satisfying Progression Systems
Agree. I think Diablo 3 actually has way better progression than D4. In D3 there were some builds where getting the right drop that had a synergy for your build would suddenly have you mowing down enemies so you'd have to bump up to the next Torment level. I never felt that way with D4. It always kind of felt like a slog (haven't played since S2 though)
Agree on Hollow Knight too. Imo, Ender Lilies has better progression where you feel like you're consistently getting upgrades.

Silksong is wildly overrated. Every review is like "I hate playing this game 10/10." It's got to be the most Emperor's New Clothes game release this year by far.
