See AllNintendo’s Patent Lawsuit Against Palworld Takes a Weird Turn
I hope so. I love Nintendo and I am a big fan but this idea of patenting game mechanics is just ridiculous. The only legal protections there should be should be copyright protections on code and copyright protections on trademarks and characters.

EA, Take-Two, and CDPR Worried About Using AI Due to Backlash
There's no escaping it. Generative AI for Art is pretty lame until it gets so good you can't tell the difference, and it will get there eventually but what is really interesting is the possibility that AI can be used to support the game itself. I understand the doom and gloom in society today where it seems everyone is out to screw you, but Nintendo generally has not been like that.
